We are a married couple with three crazy kids. Ashlyn’s birth month flower is a Rose while Ethan’s is a water lily. Hence Lily & Rose Brewing Co.

Ethan was born and raised in Harrisonville Missouri where we are located. He received a Bachelor’s of Science in Biochemistry in 2013. It was during his time in college he brewed his first beer and since then has had this dream of his own brewery. He proudly served in the US Army as in infantry officer and has since earned a BSN and is a full time ER Nurse.

Prior to marriage Ashlyn was a manager at a local gym where we met. We both had a fondness of powerlifting and pushing ourselves to new limits. We have a fondness for the outdoors, travel, exploration, the arts, and cuisine from all over the world. Because of this brewing attracted us. The artistry of creating something that both reflects rich culture and history in a glass and the nuance of using unconventional ingredients to make something entirely new and provide it in our home town.

We married on the family farm in August of 2023 . It was just prior to that we brewed our first beers together. Like my first beer it was a Pale Ale and at the wedding a toast was raised with that very beer. No champagne needed. Our wedding cake was raspberry and lemon a person favorite combination of Ashlyn. This inspired her to start concocting out first sour beer with raspberries and lemon. Yes it’s pink.

My original beers were inspired by my Irish, Scottish, and English heritage. Repeatedly making Irish Reds, Pale Ales, IPAs, and Stouts until I had a firm grasp on the craft. After that I eased into German and Belgian beers. And now inspiration is all around. I recently visited Idaho on an unsuccessful bear hunt that inspired an IPA made with Idaho grown hops.

Recently we visited Belize where we indulged in local cuisine and had the opportunity to visit the only brewpub in the country for a bit of research. This inspired us to take our passion to the next level and on July 4th 2024 the Lily & Rose Brewing Company was founded. And has been a work in progress ever since. We continue to travel and find inspiration in culture and nature for our creations. We can’t wait to see you and hope you enjoy whatever we brew up next.
